Admission Counsellor

As an Admissions Counselor, you will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process and assisting them in enrolling in study abroad programs. Your primary objective will be to convert potential students interested in studying abroad into successful program applicants. You will provide personalized guidance, address inquiries, and facilitate the application process to ensure a smooth transition for students from inquiry to enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Engagement: Proactively engage with potential students interested in studying abroad, building rapport, and understanding their academic goals, interests, and preferences.
Admissions Counseling: Provide comprehensive counseling to prospective students on study abroad program offerings, admission requirements, and application procedures.
Application Assistance: Assist students in completing their study abroad applications, including reviewing application materials, providing feedback, and ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
Conversion Strategy: Develop and implement effective strategies to convert inquiries into completed applications and enrollments, including targeted communication, follow-up activities, and recruitment events.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, educational partners, and other stakeholders to promote study abroad opportunities and support student recruitment efforts.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and student preferences in study abroad destinations to inform recruitment strategies and program development.
Admissions Events: Plan and execute recruitment events, such as information sessions, webinars, and campus visits, to attract prospective students and promote study abroad opportunities.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records of student interactions, inquiries, applications, and enrollment status in the admissions database to track progress and measure recruitment effectiveness.
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with colleagues in admissions, academic advising, international programs, and other departments to streamline processes, resolve issues, and enhance the overall student experience.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 - 2 years of previous experience in admissions counseling, student recruitment, or related fields is essential
Strong sales or customer service background with a proven track record of meeting targets and converting leads into customers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences effectively. Fluency in english is preferred.
Knowledge of study abroad programs, international education policies, and admissions processes is desirable.
Familiarity with admissions software, and data analytics tools is desirable.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Passion for international education and a commitment to promoting cross-cultural
understanding and global citizenship.
Working Conditions:
The role may require occasional travel to attend recruitment events, conferences, or training sessions.
Evening or weekend work may be necessary to accommodate student schedules and admissions events.
The position involves working in an office environment as well as interacting with students and stakeholders in various settings, including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and online platforms.
