Civil Draftsman Wanted

Growing construction company seeking an experienced Civil Draftsman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil engineering projects including site plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and construction details.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality CAD drawings and models to support the design and construction process
• Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and calculations to prepare construction documents
• Collaborate with project engineers and architects to incorporate design changes and updates
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and BIM tools
• Maintain organized project files and drawing archives
• Provide technical support to the construction team in the field as needed

Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or certification in civil engineering technology, architectural drafting, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a civil draftsman or in a similar role
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and construction standards
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) a plus
