Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Tool Room Engineer to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies required for manufacturing operations. The role involves ensuring precision, accuracy, and quality in tool production while supporting production teams with technical expertise. The Tool Room Engineer will be responsible for supervising tool room activities, maintaining machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely availability of tools to meet production schedules. The candidate should also focus on continuous improvement, cost reduction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong knowledge of tool design, machining, and CAD/CAM software.
Hands-on experience with CNC/VMC/EDM machines.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
Experience: 2 to 5 years in tool room operations (preferred).
Location: Chennai
