Position: Purchase Head – Engineering Industry

Location: Chennai
Experience: 10 to 12 Years
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech
Salary Range: 85,000 – 95,000 per month
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the purchase department for sourcing raw materials, tools, and engineering components

• Vendor identification, negotiation, and performance evaluation

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce cost and improve quality

• Coordinate with design, production, and finance teams for seamless material flow

• Manage inventory levels and delivery schedules

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and standards

Requirements:

• Proven work experience of 10–12 years in purchase/procurement (preferably in manufacturing or engineering sector)

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and procurement processes

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to manage a team and vendor network effectively
