Job Description :

Location: Chennai
Experience: 2 – 5 Years (in production or shop-floor supervision)
Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech
Salary: Negotiable
Shift: Rotational / General Shift (as per plant requirement)
Week Off: Sunday or rotational off

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are met, and maintain product quality. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a shop-floor environment and the ability to lead a team of operators and workers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day production activities and workforce on the shop floor

• Ensure timely achievement of daily and monthly production targets

• Maintain production quality standards and reduce rejection rates

• Coordinate with planning, maintenance, and quality departments

• Monitor machine utilization and raw material availability

• Maintain shift-wise production reports and documentation

• Ensure adherence to 5S, safety, and housekeeping standards

• Train and guide machine operators and production helpers

• Report any production delays, machine issues, or manpower shortages

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (Machining / Assembly / Fabrication etc.)

• Ability to handle manpower and coordinate across departments

• Good understanding of quality control and basic inspection tools

• Familiar with shift management and basic ERP/MIS reporting

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Knowledge of ISO/5S/Lean Manufacturing is a plus

• Product quality and rejection rates

• Machine and manpower efficiency

• Shift handover reporting accuracy

• Safety and cleanliness compliance
