Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Tool Room Designer with hands-on expertise in fabrication and shifting of tools, dies, and jigs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing tool room components, coordinating fabrication activities, and managing the shifting and setup of equipment as per production requirements.

Role : Tool Room Designer -Fabrication & Shifting Expert

Location: Chennai (or specify location)

Experience: 2 to 5 Years

Salary: Best in Industry (based on experience and skills)

Key Responsibilities:

Design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures using CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks or similar)

Plan and supervise fabrication processes for precision tooling

Ensure timely and safe shifting and installation of tool room equipment

Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for tooling requirements

Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to design specifications

Maintain detailed records and documentation for tool design and modifications

Skills Required:

Proficiency in tool design and fabrication processes

Experience in tool shifting, alignment, and machine setup

Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and tolerances

Skilled in using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)

Good communication and team coordination skills

Knowledge of safety and handling standards in manufacturing environments

Qualification:

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or related field

Certified training in Tool Room / CAD design is an added advantage

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Saturday (as per company policy)

Flexibility required during shifting or machine installation activities
