JOB VACANCY - TILE MASON

Primary Job Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine tile layout, patterns, and material requirements.
• Select and prepare surfaces for tile installation, including cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing.
• Mix, apply, and spread mortar or adhesive according to industry standards.
• Cut, shape, and install tiles using hand and power tools, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and level.
• Grout tile joints and apply sealants to create a finished and watertight surface.
• Inspect completed work for quality and ensure it meets project specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with material handling and unloading as needed.

Experience Expected
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Tile Mason or related field.

Education Level
• High school diploma or equivalent

License/ Certifications/ Trainings
• ITI

Personal Attributes
• Experience with various types of tile materials (ceramic, porcelain, stone, etc.).
• Knowledge of different tile installation methods (thin-set, mosaics, etc.).
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for tile cutting and shaping.
• Strong understanding of tile layout principles and design patterns.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other trades.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
