Job Description
Who You Are:
CNC Programming & Setup: You will develop, prove out, and optimize CNC programs (using CAM software like Mastercam, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360) for complex 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis milling operations.
Process Optimization: You'll determine optimal cutting parameters (feeds, speeds, depth of cut), tooling selection, and fixturing methods to minimize cycle time, maximize tool life, and ensure surface finish requirements are met.
Troubleshooting & Improvement: You will actively troubleshoot machining issues related to chatter, dimensional instability, and tool breakage, implementing effective corrective actions on the shop floor.
Tooling & Fixture Design: You'll collaborate with the Tool Room to specify, design, and validate custom cutting tools and work-holding fixtures to improve rigidity and production efficiency.
Quality & Documentation: You are responsible for verifying the first-off component against blueprints, applying GD&T knowledge, and maintaining all process documentation and setup sheets for consistent manufacturing.
